Teracom, a Denmark-based telecommunication operator along with Loriot, an IoT infrastructure provider have announced the completion of a nationwide IoT LoRaWAN network in Denmark.

Both firms are taking major steps in order to strengthen their existing partnership that focuses on providing the best possible coverage and service quality within the country.

Martin Løbel, the CEO of Teracom said: “The interest for IoT solutions and the demand for Internet-of-things connectivity is growing dramatically in Denmark. Teracom is fully committed to provide full coverage to the whole country and the roll-out is almost completed. Loriot’s network server solution allows us to easily set-up and manage such a large network and enables our customers to scale their applications.”

Julian Studer, the COO of Loriot, added: “The Danish nationwide rollout strengthens our leading positioning in Europe and we are confident that it will generate even greater demand for and dissemination of IoT solutions.”

Another Denmark-based telecommunications company has announced that it has selected Ericsson to deploy commercial 5G within the country. According to the deal, secured last month, Ericsson will offer its 5G platform for TDC’s 5G cellular network. It will aim to play a crucial role in updating TDC’s complete Radio Access Network (RAN) by making use of the latest solutions from Ericsson Radio System. Ericsson’s dual-mode 5G Cloud Core solution will also update TDC’s core network. The 5G New Radio hardware and software products from Ericsson will be launched later in 2019.
