BAI Communications is rebranding to Boldyn Networks and will establish its global headquarters in London.
The company, a leading global neutral host provider, will operate independently from BAI Australia while expanding its presence in North America and Europe. This strategic move positions Boldyn Networks to pursue its ambitious growth plans, supported by the Canada Pension Plan Investment Board.

Boldyn Networks has already made substantial contributions to the UK’s infrastructure development. Over the past two years, the company has increased its workforce by tenfold, creating nearly 800 direct and indirect jobs.
The company has invested over £1 billion in projects such as providing mobile connectivity to Hornsea Two – the world’s largest wind farm – and deploying a 5G private network for offshore wind development in the Humber.
One of the company’s most well-known initiatives involves partnering with Transport for London (TfL) to build a neutral host network across the London Underground. This network will deliver 4G and 5G mobile connectivity to 137 stations, platforms, and 400 kilometres of tunnels, as well as support the emergency services network in the tube.
Boldyn Networks is also leveraging TfL’s infrastructure to enhance street-level mobile connectivity and implement smart city applications.
Furthermore, the company has partnered with Sunderland City Council to establish a 5G advanced wireless infrastructure, transforming Sunderland into the UK’s most advanced smart city. This collaboration includes the development of public Wi-Fi networks, smart sensors for road safety, and the creation of 5G-enabled solutions in collaboration with the University of Sunderland.

Boldyn Networks has secured other global multi-year partnerships, such as delivering connected solutions for subway systems in major cities like New York, Hong Kong, and San Francisco. They are also working on deploying large-scale connectivity solutions in public venues – closing the digital divide through free outdoor public Wi-Fi networks – and providing connectivity to military bases.
The company’s expansion and investments align with the UK government’s Wireless Infrastructure Strategy, which aims to improve the country’s wireless digital infrastructure and promote the widespread adoption of 5G technology. With the potential growth of the UK private cellular networks market estimated to reach £1 billion by 2030, Boldyn Networks’ presence in the UK will contribute significantly to this industry’s development.
