US bucks Chinese 5G suppliers for Ericsson, Nokia, and Samsung
US telecoms giant AT&T has announced it will be using 5G equipment from Ericsson, Nokia, and Samsung for its upcoming network. Predictably, that means no US operator will be using equipment from Chinese firms.
The operator is the last major operator to announce its suppliers. AT&T’s rivals – Verizon and Sprint – have named Nokia, Ericsson, and Samsung as their 5G equipment suppliers. T-Mobile, meanwhile, has named Ericsson and Nokia.
