Our client is seeking a true sales “hunter”, who is an aggressive, hardworking, motivated self-starter, able to operate in a fast paced / growth environment. The candidate will be responsible for the Eastern US with considerable focus on New York City and the tri-state area., for the phone products. The candidate must have a proven track record of developing and selling into the traditional telco resellers/dealers as well as end-customer environments. The candidate must have a clear understanding of the “two stage” sales process, as all sales are ultimately done via distribution partners. This position requires an individual who can work with minimal supervision but is a strong communicator and understands teamwork. The candidate must be able to “plan his/her work and work his/her plan” in order to successfully develop and run the territory on his/her own. Responsibilities will include prospecting, visiting and presenting demos to resellers and end customers, working closely with distribution partners, and ultimately, closing deals (the candidate must be a closer). Additional experience in developing and maintaining a sales pipeline in a CRM is required. Compensation includes base salary and commissions. Commissions are not capped so the candidate’s upside earning potential is based on how much he/she can sell. The preferred location for this position is in the New York or the tri-state area.
Requirements:
• In-depth knowledge of the telephony / IP telephony space
• Strong rolodex of reseller/dealer contacts
• Proven track record of achieving sales targets and Closing opportunities
• In-depth knowledge of distribution and the sales process
• Minimum 5+ years of experience in technology sales
• Demonstrated ability to identify, develop and manage accounts
• Excellent interpersonal skills
