At #MWC12 Fujitsu Uses Water and Drop Testing to Differentiate
Earlier today I said speed was perhaps the only differentiator left in the market for device differentiation in reference to the Microsoft speed challenge here at Mobile World Congress 2012 in Barcelona. At the Fujitsu booth I learned I was wrong, not once but twice. The company had numerous demonstrations of its soon-to-be-released devices working while immersed in water.
In addition they had a robotic test dropping a ball on a smartphone screen repeatedly with no breakage. The devices should hit Europe soon and the pictures below are worth some very wet words. The first fish tank shot below in fact shows an Android phone ringing while under water. It's the middle phone on the top row.
